Shadow Meditation _ 3.29.22

Before my shadow work, I was so unaware of a lot of my toxic traits, my projections, my hang-ups, my trauma, and even my self-sabotaging ways…

Like omigoddess, today’s meditation brought me back to those moments. I time-traveled back to those engagements where I acted out those unchecked traits and being back in my body, I can absolutely say, we are on autopilot until we come into the true awareness of self.

Not just that love and light bull either that social media has trained us to do. Exalting our light while hiding our darkness is the new norm. We are conditioned to fracture our psyche to always be perceived as righteous while only representing half of ourselves. This creates a deep imbalance within us.

Through this work, I have realized, you have to meet your demons (gatekeepers) to have access to the totality of you. You have to get to the root of why you needed them in the first place. Until we do this work, we are haunted and tortured by our shadows.

We must never forget that every light has a shadow, so that means these things (light and dark) are always happening in duality. It has little to do with right or wrong, but a principle that always is….

The ignorance of my own shadow and the avoidance of the truth of my story was actually what chokehold me. Stuck in the past because I was unable to face it. I was in a state of buffering, spiritually and as my Spirit awaited me to acknowledge the WHOLE of it, my rejection is actually what placed me on autopilot.

Cause if every light has a shadow…that shadow holds its own power. Until you face the boogeyman that is you, your shadows remain shadows cause you won’t call them by their name (light).

If every light has a shadow, that means shadows hold their own power. Until you face the boogeyman that is you, your shadows remain shadows. You refuse to call them by their names (light) yet they run your whole life.

Shining your light on your shadows transmutes them into light. This can easily be seen with candlelight. The minute you move said light to a dark corner, it illuminates the corner. All the scary shapes and forms that our imaginations ran wild with are able to be acknowledged in their nakedness. We learn that Shadows themselves are just different forms of light.

Going into the depth of your shadows to bring them light, to give them expression, and to honor that space allows what once worked against you, to work for you.

Shadows and/or Demons are the faces of our hurt, our shame, our pain, our trauma, and our grief. We created them to defend ourselves from the devastations that the world deals us. They are our protection – the mask we hide behind to cope with our suffering.

‘Put on a brave face…’

We have created far too many. So instead of intentionally creating these masks for spiritual armor, we practice witchcraft on ourself and create legions of demons out of chaos. Demons we won’t face, demons we can’t command, and demons that operate from the shadow realm because we refuse to face ourselves. Instead of working together, we become haunted or possessed by our own demons. Living out reactionary, triggered, and self sabotaging realities.

These legions of demons, or our shadows become so dense that they blanket our light. Remember, light is the divine spark, what animates us. The cloaking of our light is actually the act of subdoing us into a trance i.e. autopilot.

In today’s meditation, I realized autopilot is actually demonic possession. When we fail to address our shadows, and allow them to fester the imbalance it creates corrupts our temple. We become a home for our shadows.

I had to face that I was a demon in people’s lives and my own. I esoterically created legions of shadows that consumed my light. My avoidance was my torture, my hell.

Being back there today made me realize how I was never fully there to begin with. I was present, but on autopilot.
