Is this the world?
Is this what it has come to?
I now live in a world where kids are grown
And the grown are nowhere to be found.
Where the average 15 year old has already ‘experienced’ life
While I am still living it.
But that’s the world I live in
Babies having babies
And the structure of relationships have died.
Marriage is primitive
And those who are married live lies.
Common courtesy and morality are no longer
Conformity is the new normality.
Reality is now fiction
Replaced by social network addiction.
Realization finally set in
And all I want is more.
I want to create success instead of being fed it
But that’s the world we live in.
Where right is wrong
And wrong is majority.
Where we dehumanize people
And make minorities
Where freedoms and liberties
Are’ once upon time’ stories.
There is a constant battle of
Superior and inferior
While those leaders, just sit there
In their chairs
And reap;
Reap the benefits of our health
Our sickness
Our joy
Our sorrow
Making the problem
Then offering the solution tomorrow.
Hand over fist of money they collect
Plus taxes
And unpaid medical debts
…but that the world you live in
You trying to keep up with the Jones
Selling your last to own shit
Something to call your own
But capitalizing conspicuous consumption keeps you 5 steps behind.
Neighborly love is perversion
Sex offending is a joke because it’s any old thing.
Teacher aren’t even passionate about teaching
Parents are too young and every kids a latchkey.
You hate first reconsider later
No lending of a helping handing
911 calls and suicide letter, that reads
‘I’m drowning. Life is too much and you won’t miss me.’
Stained cheeks and whispered words
The School! The Government! The Church!
Is telling you how to live your life
But that’s the world they live in
They were different, black sheep
Only cared about when it’s public.
When it’s too late.
Voiceless busy trying to communicate.
But there cause is lost in a world where even the winners are losers.
War is the solution
The inhumane becomes humane.
